We stayed in Osaka and Tokyo, some of the most common tourist destinations, and the service was mostly consistent. The backup power sustained well for our 12 hour days. For 2.5 weeks, we didn't reach out limit, but were very conscious of our usage. Would recommend this for three+ users.

Getting the wifibuddy absolutely made the trip that much easier and better. Having the steady network definitely helped keep us on track for the busy days we had. I would recommend getting this for anyone traveling.

We ordered the wifi buddy before we left the US for Japan, and we had it waiting for us at the hotel when we checked in. It was compact and contained everything needed for charging... Was super easy. It was a lifesaver! Navigating the train system is so much easier w/ Google, and the wifi buddy kept us connected no matter where we were. When the trip was over we popped it into the pre-addressed, postage paid envelope they provided us and brought it to the hotel lobby desk and they mailed it back for us. This one is a no-brainer... It's a must have on a trip to Japan.

Great service, wish the battery lasted a little longer but that’s not the problem of the company. Pickup and return was super easy - would highly recommend to anyone traveling to japan.

We rented the WifiBuddy for two weeks in Japan. It was a workhorse that worked efficiently and could be counted on. We never had data throttling and the battery was fantastic. It included a backup battery charger, but we had our own. We uploaded lots of pictures and videos, and did a lot of surfing/use with two phones. I would highly recommend it!

Diamond device worked well and it was easy to return via mail. We had a minor problem finding the pick up location at Narita Airport, but the device was ready for pickup once we found the right service counter. Thank you!

We had an amazing time during our visit to Japan and it was made even better with our WiFi Buddy. Ordering it was simple, and when we picked it up at the airport it was fully charged and ready to go! The only issue that made it a little difficult was the numerous emails that I received on where to go to pick it up. I had to go to several floors (after figuring out where the pick up location was at) but once there, it was all packaged and ready for use. Dropping it off was even easier as WiFi Buddy provided a self-addressed stamped return envelope and all I had to do was drop it off at any mailbox within the airport. Communication and support was easily accessible and they answered all my questions in a timely manner. I would definitely use their service again.

I used the Wifi Buddy on my recent trip to Japan. The service and device worked great throughout the trip. When using a lot of data consistently, the device would get hot and cause problems if inside a bag. Placing the device in an outside pocket totally fixes this. Great and easy service. Thanks.

Best, most cost-efficient way to get internet access for multiple phones throughout Japan. We spent a month and had zero issues. Picked up in Haneda airport, everything was where they said it would be. Worked well in Tokyo, Kyoto, Hiroshima, and Okinawa. Faster than any of the airBnb-provided wireless hotspots. The extra battery pack was a nice touch. Would absolutely use again.

Everything was smooth despite the postal restrictions of the G20 meeting in Osaka. You can easily rely on the service, delivery and the WiFi itself. There are more free WiFis around, but nothing beats your own when travelling!

This was an easy service. I ordered the WiFi device online, and it was waiting for me by the time I checked into my hotel. Connecting to the device was very straight forward. I just wish the device came with a charging pack, as one full charge was not enough for a full day of walking around.

Excellent Wi-Fi solution for japan.

I was travelling with a group and 3 of us decided to share this wifi buddy. We never had a problem with losing service and the provided powerbank ensured we didn't run out of battery throughout the day. This was easy to use and more convenient than getting a SIM as the data is unlimited. Upon returning to Japan I will get this again. Easy to pickup and return and staff were very kind over email. I will recommend this to friends visiting Japan!

The wifibuddy is a must have travel essential. As many overseas travellers know, you cannot rely on your home country's phone plan. The wifibuddy is fast and lasts a long time before needing a recharge. And a battery pack will be provided!

This did just what we needed it to do. Battery had a long life. It did not overheat though it did get hot but we just took it out and sat it by itself when we stopped for a meal and things like that. It had everything we needed and it was waiting at our hotel and easy to send back.

The pickup/return process was smooth and painless. Connections were all stable and mostly fast on our Tokyo-Hakone-Kyoto-Osaka trip. Definitely recommend!
