Very convenient, picked it up at the airport on the way in and dropped it off before we left. Never had an issue with the internet, made travelling a breeze!

Got a pocket Wifi for my cruise around Japan. It worked well at all the ports except for Busan. On cruise days at sea, there was no cell signal so no Wifi. Overall, a very cost effective way to get WiFi in Japan. I would definitely recommend it and will use it again on my next Japan trip. I just wish there were a similar service in Europe.

Our Wifi dongle never missed a beat for our entire stay, easy to find the pick up point and simple to drop back off, quick charging and good all day, fully recommend .

Everything went smoothly and we had a consistant and fast wifi connection throughout our trip. Pick up was very easy -- there is a desk at the airport and JapanWifiBuddy will send you a map to help you located it. Returning the device also went smoothly. You simply need to put everything back into the reinforced envelope that they send with the original package. You can drop of the package in one of the red post bins at the airport right before you go through security. Customer support was fast to answer any questions I had and to change my order details. All around great experience and it was hassle-free so it was worth the cost!

We used the Diamond WiFi for our 17 day trip to Japan. We passed through Tokyo, Hakone, Nagoya, Kyoto, Nara and Osaka with some time in the wild nature. Only in Nagoya the WiFi experienced some restarts and disconnects, but afar from that the performance and connection was plain perfect. It carried us through our trip. Highly recommended. Price was also decent for that time range with 4 people.

My wife and I traveled to Japan and were scheduled to arrive at Kansai airport on the 8th of Sept where we would spend 4 days in the Kyoto area. I had arranged for a portable wifi from Japan WifiBuddy to be delivered to Kansai for us to pick up there. I received the notice that it had been dispatched for delivery on Sept. 4th. Then the typhoon hit and things got bad. By the next day Kansai was closed, and our flight was cancelled. It took a couple of days but we did get a new flight to Narita on the 8th where we would take a train to Kyoto. During all of the time up to our departure, Seako and Tre from Japan WifiBuddy were in daily contact with me. They were doing everything they could to make sure I had my wifibuddy when we arrived. I need to stress that in the days prior to our trip Japan was hit with a powerful typhoon and the area close to the Japan WifiBuddy offices was hit by 2 earthquakes and had lost power a few times. During all of this Seako and Tre continued to stay in contact with me and work to make things right. In the end they were able to get a unit delivered to our hotel the morning after we checked in, and it worked great. I highly recommend using Japan WifiBuddy while visiting Japan. The service and experience we received from them was over the top

The JWB team takes customer service to the next level and beyond. My rental was scheduled only a few days after the Hokkaido 9/18 earthquake (where their office is located) but that didn’t stop them from keeping me updated on the wifi’s arrival being on time. Extremely helpful on what steps to take and what to do should any problems arise.

Very easy pick-up and drop off process and had reliable wifi. Only suggestion might be to put the portable wifi in a different case since it didn't help the occasional heating issues.

Spent some time in Fukushima and Iwate prefectures and the Silver WifiBuddy worked reasonably well for what I needed. Couldn't really watch videos, but it was good enough for email and most webpages. Will definitely upgrade next time!

I highly recommend use of the JAPAN Wifi Buddy for anybody traveling there. It worked flawlessly and would use the service again on my next trip to Japan.

The WiFi was super fast and came in handy during our stay in Japan. Although the air bnbs provided a portable WiFi, we found that the Japan WiFi Buddy was the quickest, which was extremely helpful when using the navigation. Totally recommend and worth the money!

Highly recommended, it works everywhere and the additional charger allows you to relax, enjoy your vacation and not to worry about being left with no internet connection in the middle of Japan. FYI in 10 days of vacation we were 2 people connecting to it and we used only 13 giga.

Picked our WiFi up at the airport post office for a two week trip in japan. The pick up was so simple and easy to find where to go. The WiFi service was perfect in every city we went to. Having an extra charger included to take with us during the day was a lifesaver. I will definitely use WiFi Buddy again when I return to Japan.

This probably was the best device I could find online at the price I got it for. The download limit was set really high, so I never ended up getting anywhere near the maximum you could download in a day. There was some issues with the signal not being great in some parts of Japan (especially if I walked anywhere that was a tunnel or sometimes even underground), but it wasn't really much of an issue for me to get frustrated over as it only occasionally happened. Overall, decent device, reasonable price for said device, most likely in future trips to Japan I'll be using this as long as prices don't change. Thanks to Japan WiFi Buddy for helping me get around Japan!

A very aspect of my interaction with Japan Wi-Fi Buddy was top notch. The Wi-Fi device worked as advertised and all communications from the Japan Wi-Fi Buddy staff were promptly and professsional. I arrived in Japan right after the Super Typhoon and earthquake hit in Sept 2018 and the Japan Wi-Fi Buddy team kept me informed of the current shipping status of my order. When I arrived at my hotel the device was waiting for me at the front desk. The Wi-Fi device included excellent instructions and all cables needs to use the device. I followed the instructions and everything worked as expected. Even the return process was simple. After several days I simply placed all of the Japan Wi-Fi Buddy items back into the provided return envelope and dropped it into a Post box in the airport.

It was ridiculously fast and reliable for our entire trip. We relied on this everywhere in Japan and it did not disappoint us. Thank you, we had a great experience and will use this service again next time!

My WiFi arrived for my arrival day at my hotel in Tokyo and also received packaging so I could easily send it back. It worked nearly everywhere I was, definitely helped me get back to my hotel when I was lost. Thank you very much :)
