Wifi was excellent Worked very fine Convenient to connect Only thing to improve is that the device heats up a lot and the battery does not last a full 10 hours day. Our additional loading battery did not work as well fine - but luckily I have always a battary pack with me. Overall we have been happy and would take this service again. As well shipping to hotel excellent with the ship back documents added.

Chose to pick it up at the post office, which was very easy to find! Never had any issues with the device during the 11 days I had it. It can drain battery easily but pairing it with a high capacity battery charger is the perfect solution for that and your other devices! Couldn’t recommend it enough.

So easy and great to use. Coverage was great and very easy to extend the time of hire when flights were delayed.

Renting a WiFi is new to me as I am from America and have my own mobile service and have never needed it. Not only did the quality and connection meet my expectations, it greatly surpassed it. I do recommend this company as everything was on time and waiting for me at the post office, and the pre-filled out envelope was perfect when returning. The signal was generally very good all over Japan in the places I went. The device lasted about what it was quoted, however the extra battery made sure it made it all day for us. Thank you again, will definitely use you guys again if I am in town!

Unlimited WiFi with no slow downs or throttling despite 3 people using it. Battery lasted about 8 hours and included an additional battery pack for another 8 hours.

Only complaint would be the battery life. But wifibuddy did provide a Power stick to charge it

Ordering and delivery were a breeze. Pocket Wifi was waiting for us at our hotel upon check-in. All of the accessories and even the pocket wifi itself looked and felt brand new. The back up battery came in handy a couple of times. Only concern I could think of was that the wifi device would often get really warm throughout the day during continuous use. Otherwise worked perfectly and because we had unlimited data, we had nothing to worry about :)

You will find lots of free WiFi in Japan. However, when you are off the beaten trail or simply moving from place to place, having mobile WiFi is really, really useful. Especially: maps! Japan WiFiBuddy worked perfectly for us. Picked it up at hotel, good instructions in documentation, postage & packaging included for sending back at the end of trip. We did not run out of data. Only rarely was the WiFiBuddy's signal a bit poor. I highly recommend Japan WifiBuddy.

Awesome portable Wifi service. So easy with Wifi posted to our hotel in Tokyo and the service and connection was brilliant. Highly recommended!

Very good and handy product, but it becomes much slower after the 4th day of usage between two phones.

Hi, I rented the Diamond, had it waiting at the hotel when we arrived. In 10 days we used the device for navigating trains and maps and even watched some netflix during a heatwave. Great connections and speeds, and simple setup and return.

This was the best purchase for my Japan trip. Had wifi access the whole time which meant googling places and checking maps super easy. Very reliable and airport pick up and drop off was really convenient. This was the envy of my entire tour group!

It worked as advertised. I would recommend it. If I visit Japan again I get it. I am not sure if they operate in other countries but if they do I will use it.

JWB is amazing, got their diamond package and it was everything as advertised. Support is in english which is really helpful, had no problems. Would recommend.

Perfect product. Well priced. Amazing service. The battery pack and included cables and wall sockets were great. We got stuck in Japan longer than expected but extending the service was no problem. Return was easy. Couldn't have done without it!

Awesome sevice and signal, definitely will get it again

Great service! Easy to pick up at the airport, with clear English instructions on how to use it and return it at the end of our trip. WiFi access was great in Tokyo and Kyoto but somewhat spotty in less common locations like Nikko and Hakone (that’s an issue with cellular coverage though, not with WiFibuddy). The Platinum package was perfect for our family of three to keep us connected and accessing Google Maps throughout the day.

best service ever! We made a late order, a day before our trip, and the device was shipped directly to our apartment in Tokyo on the arrival day. The service works perfectly anywhere, we roamed around in country areas as well and never had a problem with it. Unlimited data was essential, as we were a group of 4 and needed full internet coverage. All in all I strongly recommend this product, it was a real life saver in many occasions during our 2 weeks journey!

The pocket wifi was lightning fast and reliable my entire trip!

If you are going to Japan for more than a few days....you are dumb if you don't rent one of these. Easy to use, consistent connection, good speed, long battery life. I honestly have zero complaints, not even nit picky ones. It was delivered to my hotel on time and all I had to do was stick it in a post office drop box I the way to he airport when we left. I'm a Texan so I don't spend a lot of time in mage cities like Tokyo and I've only used public transit once in my entire life. So having WiFi constantly made getting around Tokyo an absolute breeze.

Loved being able to connect anywhere. No problems anywhere in Tokyo even in the train station.
