We were in japan for three weeks and this Diamond WifiBuddy worked great the hole time. It was better than most of the hotel wifi's. It did get hot but always kept working. It would last from early morning to mid afternoon w/o an external battery, but they give you an extra batter (I never used theirs I had some very big ones that I was using for all my stuff)

Super simple to rent, use, and return, and it worked great. Great price, too. Definitely will use again!

We rented the japan wifi buddy for our two week trip to japan, and everything went EXACTLY as they said in all of the marketing! It was very easy, cheap, and the bandwidth was excellent. As we had Verizon wifi calling, we were able to make calls and text back to the states without issues, as we were using wifi instead of roaming. Would definitely recommend to anyone going to Japan. Two suggests: 1. Reserve early! 2. Make sure you give yourself some sort of reminder to send it back at the airport. I almost forgot, and luckily, we had not gone through security yet. The mailbox at Itami Airport in Osaka is outside of the terminal!!!

The entire process from ordering to drop off was easy and seamless. At points there was some confusion, but everything you need to know is provided on the website, in the package, or through customer support. Wouldn’t go to Japan again without WiFi Buddy and would recommend to anyone without hesitation.

From the moment I received my WiFi Buddy my experience in Japan improved tremendously! I wish that I had ordered it before arriving-- it would have made things easier right from the start. I appreciate the quick and professional service I was given by the staff, too. I wish that I could have given six stars.

I’m so thankful that we decided to rent a portable wifi and to go for the highest package. When I think back, there were so many occasions during which we would have been completely lost, confused or stranded without the wifi device. The portable battery and reply paid envelope were also great additions. Thank you again, it was worth every dollar spent.

I recently traveled to Japan and rented a Japan Wifibuddy. It was brilliant and just a lifesaver! Easy to hire, pick up, use and return. Would highly recommend and will definitely use again. All countries should offer the same scheme and product!

Wi-Fi was delivered yo my hotel prior to my arrival. I had no issues using the Wi-Fi during my stay.

Overall process was straight forward. Product was waiting at my hotel on arrival day. Clear instructions on how to set up and return it. Speed was always reliable (worked like a charm on her Shinkanse), good battery life (battery pack was included as well as a backup). Would not hesitate to book again.

No problem with pick up and drop off at the airport. The instructions were very clear. Coverage and speed of the pocket wifi were great in Tokyo, Osaka and Kyoto even in the subways. The pricing was good also. No complaints.

My wifi buddy worked well during my trip! It was self explanatory and lasted each day we were out. You just have to keep the back up battery plugged in the whole time.

My WiFi Buddy made it easy for me to use Google Maps and Google Translate while I traveled throughout Japan.

The wifi buddy is great! We used our phones and laptops as if we were phone, without worrying about dropped connections! Charging it every night was also very simple - not a hassle at all! We would charge it at the same time we charge our phones and other electronics. I highly recommend this product and I'll be using it again when I return to Japan!

Has no issue pickup from the post office at Narita airport. WiFi coverage is exceptional. Has no issue on bullet train from Tokyo to Kyoto, under tunnel, etc... will rent again next time I visit Japan. Thank you Kenny

Great experience, easy to use!

Perfect for travelling and having fast internet anywhere in Japan. It was faster than my home internet connection in Europe!

The wifi was fast and never dropped. It always worked and gave us easy access.

Rented a diamond WiFi for 15 days and shared the device amongst 5 people. We never had our speed throttled and had coverage in most areas of Japan. We traveled to Tokyo, Nikko, Kyoto, Osaka, Fukuoka, Hakone, and back to Tokyo during our 2 week trip. The only place we didn't have coverage was while we were on a hike along Lake Chuzenji (in Nikko), but it was remote, so that was to be expected. Seamless pick up at the Japan Post counter in Narita and dropped off in the prepaid envelope before boarding my flight at Narita was great! Lastly, I will say that the pocket wifi device did lose its power fast, but that happened when all 5 of us were connected and constantly using wifi. The back up battery that they provided helped, but we also bought a larger capacity back up battery around with us to recharge while out and about.

Easy to use, no hassle pick up and return via post, invaluable during our stay in Japan.
