Good coverage and didn’t have any issue during our 3 weeks in Japan. It was delivered to the Hotel directly and return was easy, just drop at the airport postbox. Highly recommended.

21 day’s of worry free, high speed internet for our 3 devices. Such good service and connectivity that we never bothered to use any of the free wifi connections we were offered any place else! The set was waiting for us at Narita and we dropped it off at the airport on our return—couldn’t be easier! All this for a capped price...We will definitely use this again when we go to Japan again!

Good connection and speed everywhere I went, smooth delivery and return procedure. Picked the unit up at Narita post office and returned it to the same place with the supplied envelope. One minus though: the unit arrived with depleted battery, and I had to connect the supplied external battery right away. As I arrived in Narita in the morning, I was out of power before I reached my final destination late in the evening.

We used the Diamond WifiBuddy on our recent 2 week holiday in Japan. The download speed is really fast and reliable. Really easy to pick up and return at the post office at Narita Airport too. Everything comes nicely packaged in a handy carry pouch. Great for families as we were able to let our 2 young kids stream movies when they got bored on long train trips.

We got the 'diamond' pocket WiFi. It was at the hotel when we arrived. Easy instructions and well packaged. Worked perfectly from Tokyo to Kyoto to Hiroshima ... Battery did last less than 24 hours so external battery pack (supplied) was needed sometimes. We did use hotels WiFi and in some restaurants, but most of our travels we needed the pocket WiFi - especially for navigation and translation apps. It always worked fine. Good value for 2 simultaneous users. So easy to drop off at airport in Fukuoka too. Would definitely recommend this device and service.

Used the WiFi buddy on a recent trip to Tokyo, Kyoto, Kamakura and Hakone. The device worked perfectly and lasted all day on the battery. It made travelling between the sightseeing attractions really easy and kept the family back home up to date with the trip. Flawless pickup from the airport. I would recommend the device to any traveller and would happily use again. 5 star service.

It was so convenient! I had some spotty WiFi service in certain areas but overall it was great! Awesome customer service as well! Ri was so helpful! I will definitely use WiFi buddy again.

Some times it did not charge well. In the morning it showed it was fully charged then about 30 minutes or so I had to use the extra battery pack.

We had a great experience using our Wi-Fi Buddy. Coverage and speed were very good even in the underground in Tokyo and the included rechargeable battery was a must. It was very easy to use and light enough to carry in a backpack. It was waiting for us at our first hotel and we had no issues posting it back in the provided envelope. Very good overall.

This was the first time I rented, or even used a portable wifi hotspot. Japan Wifi Buddy was so easy to rent and use. From the super simple instructions on their website to the clearly stated and easy instructions, this was a no-worries wifi. What hooked me initally was their website and their very easy to follow rental instructions. I loved the option to pick up the wifi hotspot at my hotel in Tokyo. It's great that they supply you with a back up battery and NEW cables for charging. The wifi unit was very easy to use. I had one little difficulty in figuring out how to get the "power off" option to appear on the screen. I just kept pushing the power button and eventually it would appear. The wifi internal battery lasted from 8 until 3pm (with 2 smart phones connected) and the back up battery took care of the rest of the day. So we never had it run out of juice. It might be nice if the little pouch the hotspot goes into had a small hole in it so the cable from the battery to the hotspot could be connected wtihout having to take the hotspot out of the pouch. but that's minor. As far as service is concerned we had absolutely NO dropped connections during our time in Tokyo. Returning the unit was a BREEZE! just popped everything into the provided envelope and handed it to the hotel concierge. Done! Next time I"m in Tokyo I'll definitely be using Japan Wifi Buddy again!!!

We rented the pocket WiFi for two weeks and agreed renting it through Wifi Buddy was a great decision! It was very efficient-there were times when the battery ran out early but the back up battery provided us service through the the evening.

The wifi device worked perfectly, I had 3 devices connected at any one time and the speed was amazing. It came with a back up battery which is for the best because under heavy usage the battery on the device isn't great. 100% Would use again

Used Wifibuddy’s service for 17 days starting 9 May 18. Great 4G speed with no drop outs and always had 4G service throughout my travel in Tokyo and Osaka. Highly recommended!!

Would have struggled navigating tokyo if it wasn't for the wifi buddy. Worked great, easy to pick up and easy to return. Definitely would use again!

Great service and product, internet worked perfectly and super fast. Needed recharging towards afternoon/ early evening but the accompanying portable charger was helpful. Delivered to our hotel with no problems.

The customer service here was wonderful, they ship it directly to the airport, hotel, or even air bnb that you are using. We chose airport, they gave us a map of the floor that the post office was on, and all the information we would need to get it. Inside our package was one Wi-Fi device, an external battery, chargers for both, an already stamped envelope to return the Wi-Fi, and an instruction card. Gps can be a little spotty with Wi-Fi hotspots, had to make a few u-turns. And the battery seemed to die at peculiar times, must be what the back up batter was for. All in all a great service.

Worked everywhere. Had awesome battery life. Loved it.

We used our Diamond WifiBuddy for 2 weeks while in Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto, and Arimaonsen. It had full access the entire time in all the locations that we visited. We had up to 2 phones and 2 computers synced to it at a time and we didn't notice any slowdowns. Battery life would take us through mid afternoon depending on usage, but the portable charger would easily take us through to the evening and late night. Overall it was a solid portable wifi and easy to pick up, set up, and return!

The device was delivered to my hotel in Shinjuku and was easy to set up and ready to go. It was wonderful being able to use it all around Japan and not get lost and find restaurants. At the end I just put it back in the return mailer and that was it. I would use WiFi Buddy again.

Picked up my two diamond WiFi buddies at Haneda after hours without issue. Both WiFi’s worked great with strong connections and even better bandwidth. After two weeks throughout the country, our group of 5 measured about 75gb between the two WiFi’s. This was with heavy navigation use, audio, and video streaming. Battery life was also great and with the diamond package, we also received the extended batteries. Never had any issues!

Rented my WiFi and had it delivered to my hotel in Haneda Airport. When I checked in, it was there waiting for me. Easy to hook up and not once did I have any problems with it. Very Satisfied. I recommend WifiBuddy and will rent from them again.

Great coverage - backup battery inclusion was a great benefitl. A must if travelling around Japan!

I didn’t use the back up battery because I didn’t know how it worked . So I really didn’t use it to the max. Also my phone battery went really low around 2 pm (5 hours of use). But it was good to have. It was very convenient to pick up and return.

I ordered the pocket WiFi two days before leaving without any problems. Picking up at the airport was a breeze. And returning was even easier. Would definitely use this company again.

When I was traveling I found myself almost constantly grateful for this thing - the access the internet in Japan was essential for what I needed and I had been out to many fairly remote places without any issues. I would 100% recommend this service for peace of mind while out and about!
